Moscow Exchange perpetual crypto futures rollout

Moscow Exchange (MOEX) launched perpetual futures on Sept. 22 for five major cryptocurrencies: BTCUSDF, ETHUSDF, SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF and TRXUSDF. Each contract tracks a corresponding MOEX crypto index quoted in US dollar-denominated indexes, rolls over automatically each day, and is cash-settled in Russian rubles. The products provide continuous exposure without delivery of Bitcoin, Ether or other tokens and expand MOEX’s derivatives offering rather than opening spot crypto trading to retail.

Access is limited to qualified investors and margin rules apply: first-tier minimum margins are 22% for Bitcoin, 35% for Ether, 38% for Solana, 43% for XRP and 30% for Tron. MOEX set concentration limits (LK1/LK2) ranging from 961 and 4,807 contracts for XRPUSDF to 124,490 and 622,450 for ETHUSDF. MOEX said more than 72,000 qualified investors had traded its dated crypto futures and cumulative turnover in those products exceeded 600 billion rubles. Funding parameters were set at K1 = 0% and K2 = 0.35%.
