Strive's bitcoin accumulation race among public treasuries
Strive CEO Matt Cole disclosed that the company bought 2,000 BTC for $169 million last week at an average cost of $84,422 per coin, bringing total holdings to 29,462 BTC. Sixty-one point five percent of the funding came from SATA and warrants generated $56.7 million; today’s 8-K also details key metrics and KPIs through 3Q26.
On-chain records show this was Strive’s third-largest direct purchase: the largest was the Semler Scientific merger, which involved 5,816–5,817 BTC, followed by a late-May/early-June 2026 buy of 2,500 BTC for $185.2 million. The company has now extended a consecutive weekly buying streak to three, is closing on the 30,000 BTC mark, and tightens competition with Marathon (MARA).
